Ancient cultures, from Egypt to Tibetan employed voice and sound instruments to impact people’s bodies and minds in a healing fashion.
The overarching goal of sound therapy, sound healing, and sound bathing, is to use audible vibrations expressed as sound(gongs, bowls, drums etc) coupled with the practitioner’s as well as recipients’ intention, to assist the body in returning to a place of balance, ease and harmony.
Sound has long been associated with alleviating emotional, physical, and mental discord.
Josephine has working with sound and music since she was 5 years old. Drawing on her intuitive abilities to heal and sense energy, she will guide you as an individual or a group to a deep place of rest, peace and harmony.

SOUND Client
People have been using sound to promote healing for thousands of years. For example, ancient Greek physicians used musical instruments as therapy believing that the instruments' vibrations could aid in digestion, treat mental disturbance, and induce sleep. Meanwhile, ancient Egyptians thought musical incantations healed the sick. We have just taken this ancient form of music medicine and made it accessible.

WHAT'S A SOUNDBATH
In general, a sound bath is a meditative experience where those in attendance are “bathed” in sound waves. These waves are produced by various sources, including healing instruments such as gongs, singing bowls, percussion, chimes, rattles, tuning forks, and even the human voice itself.
The music doesn’t have a catchy melody or rhythm like you’d experience at a rock concert or symphony but, instead, is a carefully selected wash of instrument and voice with notable resonance and overtones.
Working with a variety of instruments we are entraining brainwaves, and encouraging the body to 'let go'.
By providing a deeply healing experience, we can reset the nervous system, entrain brainwaves to a more medatitve state(theta) and heal on a cellular level by relieving pain and held tension.
You don't need any special clothing or equipment for a soundbath, but you should wear comfortable clothes. Bring a yoga mat, blankets, pillow, eye pillow, or other props that will make you comfortable.
"A Soundbath seeks to balance our physical, emotional, and mental systems, restoring a sense of harmony,"
Josephine will guide you through a short meditation to ease you into the space, during a soundbath a variety of instruments are played in a specific order to ease you into a meditative state.
These include metal hammered bowls, chimes, crystal bowls, gongs, voice and drum.
